3.   Sealed Lead Acid (SLA). These batteries are the most inexpensive batteries for electric scooters.  Many manufacturers prefer these because of the price.  They are very low maintenance with high energy density.  The major drawback is their weight – a whopping 30 pounds!  They do not charge up very quickly and will expire once the battery cells age.
